It’s been a while since we’ve all heard about the Rolando series, and last time we did it was the sad news that we wouldn’t be getting Rolando 3. Luckily, it seems that HandCircus and ngmoco don’t want the series to completely die, and today a surprise update was released adding iOS 4.0 multitasking and retina graphics for both games.

Though we won’t ever get that last chapter, at least the retina update can motivate us to go back and play through these games again.
And if you still don’t own them (grrr) then they’re on sale for $0.99 a piece, which is a bargain for these games. Of course, if you own both games previously, the retina update is completely FREE which is pretty sweet.
Lastly, ng:moco has released Eliminate Gun Range for $0.99… a PAID game. Could this finally be the biggest hint that Rolando 3 has been resurrected from the grave? The Hand Circus is such a talented team that’s been dormant for years. What if they’ve been secretly working on the game all along?
